Born and raised in Peoria (with a brief stint in Chicago), Chip Joyce holds a Bachelor's degree in Theatre/Cinema with an English minor from Illinois State University and a Bachelor's degree in Art/Graphic Design with a Social Media Marketing minor from Bradley University.
Prior to becoming Peoria Magazines' resident designer, Chip worked for several years as a freelance writer for their publications. He has also worked in design and marketing/communications for the Peoria Symphony Orchestra and LifeLine Pilots.
He previously worked as an account executive for several media companies, but is perhaps better known locally as a performer and director in over 100 productions, and emcee for many events. He has served on the Board of Directors for Keep Peoria Beautiful as well as Corn Stock Theatre and given lectures on film and theatre for Bradley University's OLLI program.
He lives in north Peoria with wife Jennifer and their team of cats.
