A Flurry of Updates

Hello everyone! It’s been just one day since launching our new publication, and we’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response! Yesterday’s launch event at the Peoria Riverfront Museum was fantastic—many thanks to everyone who joined us for this special moment.
Have you seen the new Peoria Magazine yet? Check it out! Articles are live on our website, and there is also a digital edition—a complete replica of the print magazine. We’re really happy with how it turned out, but we want your feedback! Please send your ideas and suggestions to email@example.com.
By the way, do you receive the magazine in the mail? If not, please visit our subscription page and get 12 issues delivered right to your doorstep for just $19.95/year.
But the print edition is just the beginning—we are also working on major website upgrades. Unfortunately, we were unable to put those in place in time for the launch of the new publication. While the April issue is online, the website design is not finished. Unfortunately, we lost some recent comments upon migration to a new platform.
We have also experienced significant technical problems—the result of migrating a large, complex website with more than 13,000 (!) pages. If you notice some bugs on the site, that is why. Please know that we are aware of the problems and will be working to iron those out over the next few months.
Of course, the monthly deadlines never end for us! We are currently hard at work on the May issue, which is devoted to local nonprofit organizations and has historically been our largest issue. This year, we are spinning off our Community Impact guide as a separate publication bundled with the May issue.
In the coming weeks, we will also be revamping our weekly newsletter, which comes out every Wednesday. Sign up today if you’re not already receiving it!
Third Thursday Group Art Exhibition
We are also proud to be hosting artwork from a dozen amazing artists involved with the Third Thursday Art Group. Stop by our office (4736 N. University St.) Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, to check out this eclectic collection from seasoned creatives. We will be hosting an opening reception on Thursday, April 18th from 4:30 to 6:00pm, and you are invited to attend! More info will be coming soon.
Best of Peoria
Finally, we are currently accepting nominations for the 2019 Best of Peoria competition: a list of the people, places and things that make Greater Peoria the best place to live, work and play. Nominations will be accepted through April 19th. The top three nominees in each category will move on to open voting in May, and the winners will be revealed later this summer. For more information, visit peoriamagazines.com/BOP.
As you can see, we have a lot going on right now! Please be patient with us as we put this new puzzle together... and thank you so much for your support! PS
