We are committed to supporting a life of choice for individuals with disabilities.
“It’s about ability, not disability”
TCRC provides goal-oriented choices for people with disabilities through services like community employment, job training, educational day services, Springboard community programs, home-like residential services, low vision services and family services. Through a wide array of options, people with developmental disabilities and visual impairments have many opportunities to fulfill their life goals.
The TCRC Sight Center is the only downstate low vision clinic assisting people with low vision issues such as macular degeneration or retinitis pigmentosis. Through low vision rehabilitation specialists, we support each individual patient through a treatment plan that allows them to maximize their independence.
Our educational day services program provides a curriculum-based training program tailored to meet the needs and desires of each person we serve. Through daily living skills training, group projects, volunteer opportunities, and work-like opportunities, we are supporting each person to be as independent as they wish to be.
Our internal mini-enterprise programs, like our Taste of TCRC Kitchen and Janitorial Services, allow people the opportunity to work in the community and build skills for sustained employment.
Our community employment program partners with central Illinois businesses, placing people in jobs with job coaching supports.
Springboard programs allow the opportunity to work in groups in the community to learn life skills and have the opportunity to partner with businesses, schools, churches and other nonprofits for future success. Springboard programs are offered at many sites throughout Tazewell County.
New to the Taste of TCRC Kitchen last May was our food cart stationed in the downtown Peoria lunch area of Adams Street. Along with the jobs created from these business opportunities, the people we serve through this new venture are then able to secure employment in other food service jobs within the community.
If you or your business is interested in partnering with TCRC for employment, catering services or janitorial services, contact us at (309) 347-7148. You can also view our products and services at tcrcorg.com. Thank you to all of our partners!
