Wildlife Prairie Park

Wildlife Prairie Park

Mission
To offer interactive, nature-oriented educational and recreational activities that provide transformations and experiences inspiring conservation of the great outdoors.

Vision
Be the premier wildlife park that will be both the steward of the environment and preferred destination where families and friends can learn about nature and create lasting memories.

Wildlife Prairie Park is often referred to as a jewel in the Midwest. Located just outside of Peoria, this 1,800-acre zoological park is home to over 150 animals; that’s 50 different species that are native to Illinois. Our guests come to learn about wolves, bison, waterfowl, black bears, elk, cougar, otters and much more. You will enjoy the Park’s spectacular natural landscape and our many avenues for recreation: biking, fishing, lodging, a train ride and so much more! Plan your visit today… an adventure awaits!

How to Help
Wildlife Prairie Park is grateful for the gifts we receive from our many supporters. There are several ways you can support the Park and help this natural wildlife habitat grow. Memberships are a simple and rewarding way to offer your support, as are general donations of monies, food, animal care items and time.

Volunteer opportunities at the Park change almost weekly. We can accommodate individual volunteers, youth and school groups, corporate groups, scout troops and much more. For volunteer opportunities, please contact us at volunteer@wildlifeprairie.org or by phone at (309) 676-0998.
