Through our Residential and Advocacy Services we offer rescue, relief, renewal and advocacy in the name of Christ. We provide the HELP and HOPE our clients need to move toward sustainable life transformation and relationship with God and neighbors who care. Through our services in the past 12 months we have:
- Helped more than 170 men and women secure employment
- Assisted more than 130 men and women achieve permanent housing
- Seen an overall decrease in those experiencing homelessness by more than 25 percent.
Peoria Rescue Mission, Esther House serves men, women and children in need of emergency crisis care. They receive warm meals, safe shelter, clean clothing and hot showers.
Residential Renewal Programs
Peoria Rescue Mission, Victory Acres, Esther House helps men and women dealing with a variety of life issues who are ready to take the “next step” in acquiring a sustainable life of self-sufficiency. Our long-term renewal programs offer the opportunity to heal and develop a positive life change.
With one-on-one counseling and case management, the programs emphasize acquiring sustainable life transformation and skills. Sustainable life transformation includes moving toward permanent housing, living wage jobs, healthy living, and vibrant connections with the local church and communities of faith.
Pregnancy & Parenting Services
Empower Life Center empowers women and men to thrive in their pregnancy and parenting decisions. Free services provided include pregnancy testing, STI testing, parenting classes and sonography for pregnancy verification.
The Barnabas Center serves the community as a Biblical counseling center committed to providing assistance to individuals, couples and families who are mentally, emotionally or spiritually discouraged.
