Artists ReEnvisioning Tomorrow (ART, Inc.)

ART, Inc.

To inspire and empower the community through the arts.

To enhance the quality of life for the community, especially our youth, through art and educational programs by providing them with a safe, structured and enriching environment in which to positively and constructively engage their imaginations while discovering pathways to a bright future.

School Partnerships
We are currently partnered with Peoria Public Schools to provide art, drama, dance, yoga, cosmetology, videography and music instructors in their 21st Century After-School Learning Program at Trewyn Junior High, Manual Academy and Glen Oak Learning Center. We are also gearing up to open the old Greeley school building, which shut down in 2010, later this summer or fall as a community arts center.

Community Arts Center
The community arts center will serve as a safe, inclusive place in which everyone in the community can come together to learn, teach and create in all facets of the arts. We provide artistic expression through programming and education, guiding youth and the entire community in encouraging the creation, appreciation and understanding of the arts.

We seek to nurture a vibrant arts community by offering classes and workshops in music, art therapy, language arts, dance, theater, graphic arts, STEAM, family empowerment, yoga, health, sewing, gardening and much more. We will have makerspaces and affordable rental spaces for artists, local businesses, arts-based not-for-profits, and the community.

We will offer workshops on how to monetize your art, as well as apprenticeship opportunities under the tutelage of renowned artist Jonathon Romain. We have also partnered with the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener program to assist in creating the Lettuce Share Romain Community Garden.

Summer Camp
Summer 2019 will kick-off our first-ever summer camp focused on the youth of Peoria. The summer arts camp will provide ages 11 to 14 with the opportunity to learn about coding, filmmaking, drama, dance and visual arts. Financial need scholarships are available to students who express interest. Visit our website for more details or to register.

Enhancing Quality of Life
Schools inherently enhance the quality of one’s life and community—we intend to use art as a vehicle to do the same thing. ART, Inc is committed to making a sustained impact in the lives of children, specifically during peak hours after school and during the summer. Our ultimate goal is to be the arts component for other nonprofit organizations and major corporations. The Greeley School building is nearly 50,000 square feet of pure beauty. Every inch of it will be used for creating, inspiring and teaching those who have generally been left behind.
