Peoria Playhouse Children's Museum - Pizza Night with The Cookery

Join Chef Amanda Pyle from The Cookery to try out a delicious recipe, just in time for dinner (or perhaps dessert). In this family friendly cooking demonstration, you will make adorable sugar cookie fruit pizzas that are sure to be a hit with both kids and adults!

Registrants will receive a list of ingredients to purchase in advance, as well as a printed recipe to keep so you can make this again and again. And if you love this workshop, learn how you can join The Cookery for more!

Peoria Playhouse Children's Museum - Playhouse PlayDate

Join us to meet an animal, make a standing structure, and have a dance party!

PlayDates, intended for children ages 2-5, include a visit with an animal, a maker activity, and a dance party. When you register, you will receive a PDF with a Zoom link and information about items around your house you may want to gather in advance. 

PlayDates are free for PlayHouse Everywhere Members and Forest Park Nature Center Members and $5 for non-members.  Registration is required.

There are a multitude of different DIY projects in different price points you can come and enjoy with friends or alone. 

Projects are not instructed but we will have our talented artists here to assist you in any way.


Clay Charcuterie Board Making

Come and create tow of your very own charcuterie board made from our stoneware clay. You get to stamp, imprint and glaze any way you would like. You may create your boards in any shape you would like. We will have limits on how large they can be.

Peoria Playhouse Children's Museum - Kappas For Kidz

The Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum is proud to partner with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity to present “Kappas for Kidz.” In February, join us every Sunday at 2pm on Facebook for a read-aloud.

We will kick this off on February 7th with Dr. Marwin Spiller reading the book “I Am Smart, I Am Blessed, I Can Do ANYTHING?” by Alissa Holder & Zulekha Holder-Young, and illustrated by Nneka Myers.
