The objective of Women in Leadership of Central Illinois is to promote leadership among women by providing mentoring, networking and educational opportunities.
For 35 years, EP!C (Empowering People. Inspiring Capabilities) has been a leader in providing natural living options for people with disabilities through our Host Homes program, and we are excited to share more about the opportunities available to you to empower people and inspire capabilities.
From earthworks to recycled art, an increasing number of African American artists have turned their creative energies to the earth, its resources, and issues of sustainability and social justice. Artist Juarez Hawkins will explore the myriad ways several artists addressed the environment in their work.
Come and create tow of your very own charcuterie board made from our stoneware clay. You get to stamp, imprint and glaze any way you would like. You may create your boards in any shape you would like. We will have limits on how large they can be.
What to expect:
Join us to meet an animal, make a standing structure, and have a dance party!
PlayDates, intended for children ages 2-5, include a visit with an animal, a maker activity, and a dance party. When you register, you will receive a PDF with a Zoom link and information about items around your house you may want to gather in advance.
PlayDates are free for PlayHouse Everywhere Members and Forest Park Nature Center Members and $5 for non-members. Registration is required.
Join Nikki from Sugar to make your own pizza! Use dough and toppings from Sugar to make a version of their delicious pizzas at home.
Registrants will be able to purchase all ingredients at Sugar the week of the workshop.
