Sewing With a Pattern

Students will learn to sew from a commercial sewing pattern. Class participants will learn to cut, assemble and finish a sewing project from start to completion.
Prerequisite: Sewing Machine Crash Course or minimal sewing machine experience recommended
The Advisory Committee on Police-Community Relations advises the Chief of Police, the Mayor and City Council on matters to improve police-community relations. As a committee that provides independent means of communication and assistance between the citizens of Peoria and the Peoria Police Department, engaging with residents is one of the top priorities for this volunteer-run group. In the past, the committee held several in-person meetings in different zip codes with a large turnout of residents.
The Morton Chamber’s Annual Meet Up, on Thursday, February 4 will air on YouTube at 5:30pm. Tune in to hear the previous year’s accomplishments, the Chamber’s goals for the new year, and announcement of the 2021 Morton Pumpkin Festival theme. Registration is $30 per person and the event is open to the public.
Guests will receive a goodie bag delivered to their Morton area business or residence the day of the event, included food and beverages from local Morton establishments.
Crystal Potthoff, pysanky artist, will be sharing her passion for this prayerful and meditative art. Included in the exhibit are pysanky written by Crystal and some of her "Egghead" friends. Also included in the exhibit are a wide variety of acrylic and mixed media painting reflective of Crystal's desire to bring the joy found throughout the world into the hearts of others.
