New this year, Peoria Magazines and Junior Achievement of Central Illinois are partnering to allow 130 students from Peoria Public Schools and Quest Charter Academy to attend the conference—and be inspired by strong women leaders!

Peoria Historical Society

Unique, beautiful homes in Peoria’s historic districts, and the Scottish Rite Cathedral and Theatre, will be decorated for the holidays and open to the public during the Peoria Historical Society’s annual Holiday Home Tour from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8. Residences on the tour are at 802 NE Perry Ave., owned by Jim Johnson and Elizabeth Arcot, and 1609 Columbia Terrace, owned by Brian and Cari Hill. The Peoria Historical Society’s own mansions will be included. They are the Pettengill-Morron House at 1212 W. Moss Ave. and the John C.

It's a Wonderful Heights

Peoria Heights Chamber of Commerce

The real razzmatazz happens Saturday, Dec. 7, with the daylong celebration, “It’s a Wonderful Heights.” If you don’t see Santa and Mrs. Claus, then you’re not trying very hard to find them, as they’ll be everywhere, starting at 10 a.m. at the IVY Club down on the riverfront and stopping at various places, on the hour, throughout the day. Even Santa has to eat, and so there will be a Santa Lunch at Brienzo’s in Heritage Square. He and the Mrs. will make an appearance at I Know You Like a Book, 4707 N. Prospect, at 4 p.m., where he will read to all the children who want to hear from him.

6th Annual CT Snow Ball Concert

99.9 WWCT-FM

99.9 WWCT-FM is proud to welcome X-Ambassadors to the Monarch Music Hall on Sunday December 8, 2019 as they headline the 6th Annual CT Snow Ball Concert benefitting OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois.

Illiterate Light and Jocelyn & Chris Arndt will also perform. The concert begins at 7 PM with doors opening at 6 PM.

Ticket prices are $30 and go on sale Monday, November 4that wwctfm.com starting at 10 AM. Day-of-show ticket prices will be $35.

Dickens' Christmas Carol

GAR Hall

A reader's theater production of Charles Dickens' Christmas Carol will take place at 3pm at the GAR Hall, 416 Hamilton Blvd.

The event includes Christmas High Tea, music and performances by Cheri Beever, Cindy Hoey, Gene Bourke, Dave Schick, Keri Rae and Charles Brown as Scrooge. The script was adapted by Doug Day.
