You knew it was gonna happen. There was just no way that classic rocker Johnny Burnett could possibly get enough of The Betty Jayne or Peoria Heights once he got that first taste, so he’s back for an encore.
The Johnny Burnett Band, down from Chicagoland, is back for more on Saturday, Oct. 17.
Tickets are $7 in advance at thebettyjayne.com/calendar, $10 day of show. The show starts at 7 p.m., doors open 6:30 p.m. Our Nanawall will be open, weather permitting, so bring a lawn chair or blanket and help us wind down autumn. Outdoor patio heaters also will be in place. We’ll be practicing our physical distancing, and a cash bar will be available. Get to-go at your favorite Heights restaurant and bring it along.
Led by veteran “piano man” Johnny Burnett, the band – which tends to have some rotating parts -- specializes in classic rock covers, 1960s through the 1980s, though it will also explore some current pop, fusion, blues and original pieces.
If you’re in to a little Van Morrison, Elton John, The Beatles, Chicago, Sting, Guns ‘N Roses, Steely Dan, Earth, Wind & Fire, David Bowie, Pink Floyd and more. The Betty Jayne is precisely where you need to be in mid-October, before the ghosts emerge at month’s end. Singing along and dancing are encouraged!
