The inaugural Cycle for Hope for Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Illinois (RMHCCI®) is set for Saturday, October 3. The event will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This new fundraising event is a great opportunity for central Illinois cyclists, of all levels, to rally together and make a difference for Peoria’s Ronald McDonald House®. Veteran cyclists or those who want to try their first spin class are all invited to participate.
Cycle for Hope is a cycling fundraising event that includes outdoor or indoor cycling and spin class biking sessions hosted at local gyms (Peoria Riverplex, STYLES and TITAN Fitness Peoria). “If people don’t feel comfortable spinning in a class environment, they can simply sign up and raise money through their own page on our website and ride whatever and wherever they want to! Our staff and local committee put their heads together to develop an event that is COVID-19 safe and helps fulfill a portion of funds needed to continue our mission”, states new RMHCCI CEO Amber Kaylor. Participants can sign up with the goal of raising $250 or more. They can enter individually, as a family or in teams of 4 either on their own or through a company sponsorship.
Sponsorship Package Levels:
$2000 – Includes sponsoring 2 teams of 4 riders, logo on event signage, logo on website, logo on promotional material, and logo on event t-shirt
$1000 – Includes sponsoring one 1 team of 4 riders, logo on website, logo on event signage, and logo on event t-shirt
$500 – Includes sponsoring 2 riders, logo on event signage, logo on website, and logo on t-shirt
$250 – Includes sponsoring 1 rider and logo on event signage
All funds received will help RMHCCI give hundreds of families a year a free place to stay while their child is receiving medical care nearby. The Peoria Ronald McDonald House was completed in 2019 and has the capacity to serve approximately 700 families a year. The estimated cost for a family to stay one night is around $88 a night.
