The Village of Peoria Heights and Mayor Michael Phelan will host their third and final town hall for this year at 5 p.m. at the Peoria Heights Public Library, 816 E. Glen Ave.
The mayor and other village officials will be available to answer questions.
The town halls are being held in the interests of greater transparency in local government. This is a great opportunity for local residents to directly address their representatives and air whatever concerns they may have.
Questions about your property taxes? Landlord registration? The new economic development projects sprouting up all over the place? Your water bill? The condition of the sidewalk (or lack thereof) in front of your home? This is the chance to have those issues addressed, with the responses on the record. Local code enforcement and Illinois’ new cannabis law and what it means for the Heights were the major topics of the first two town halls.
