Peoria Art Guild - Make Your Own Halloween Costume

Make Your Own Halloween Costume

In this beginner to intermediate class, students will sew their own Halloween costume in the Fiber Arts room under the guidance of an instructor. In this 3-week course, students will cut, sew and finish Halloween costumes from commercial sewing patterns. 

Ages 16 and up

Southside Farmer's Market

In partnership with Southside Community United for Change, Intangible Mindz LLC, and the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council, the city of Peoria is excited to announce a series of farmers markets based on the Southside. The Southside Farmer's Market aims to increase fresh, healthy food access in the Southside and engage neighborhood voices in the process.

The Market will operate on Saturdays, from August 22nd through October 10th, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at 210 S Western Avenue, Peoria, IL 61605.  Fresh food vendors will accept LINK and WIC for produce.

Cycle for Hope for Ronald McDonald House Charities

The inaugural Cycle for Hope for Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Illinois (RMHCCI®) is set for Saturday, October 3. The event will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This new fundraising event is a great opportunity for central Illinois cyclists, of all levels, to rally together and make a difference for Peoria’s Ronald McDonald House®. Veteran cyclists or those who want to try their first spin class are all invited to participate.
