Unique, beautiful homes in Peoria’s historic districts, and the Scottish Rite Cathedral and Theatre, will be decorated for the holidays and open to the public during the Peoria Historical Society’s annual Holiday Home Tour from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8. Residences on the tour are at 802 NE Perry Ave., owned by Jim Johnson and Elizabeth Arcot, and 1609 Columbia Terrace, owned by Brian and Cari Hill. Illiterate Light and Jocelyn & Chris Arndt will also perform. The concert begins at 7 PM with doors opening at 6 PM.
Ticket prices are $30 and go on sale Monday, November 4that wwctfm.com starting at 10 AM. Day-of-show ticket prices will be $35.
Members from different churches have come together to create this unique and complimentary interfaith nativity exhibit with one simple hope in mind: to provide a peaceful place for individuals and families to reflect upon Christ’s sacred birth as they usher in the Christmas season.
A reader's theater production of Charles Dickens' Christmas Carol will take place at 3pm at the GAR Hall, 416 Hamilton Blvd.
The event includes Christmas High Tea, music and performances by Cheri Beever, Cindy Hoey, Gene Bourke, Dave Schick, Keri Rae and Charles Brown as Scrooge. The script was adapted by Doug Day.
