CGN: Finding New Answers in Business
CGN & Associates is a B2B business performance consulting firm that started out of Peoria in 1995 and has grown to become a global firm.
“We opened shop with two great clients—Caterpillar in Peoria and Ford in Detroit” says Aditya Nath, CEO and founding partner. These companies remain CGN clients to this day.
“Over the last several years, our North American footprint with offices including Chicago, Detroit and Louisville has now become global, from which we have served dozens of Fortune 500 companies,” says Animesh Arora, partner. “We now have an active presence on three continents, including the U.K. and continental Europe as well as India and China in the Asia-Pacific region.”
“CGN’s strong foundation in results-based solutions is still at the core of our values. We always pride ourselves on taking a holistic view of the business; identifying levers for competitive edge; and developing a path for transformation,” says Patrick Dierker, associate partner and a 10-year veteran of CGN.
“Today, we apply the same basic principles to global operations and supply chains for some of the world’s most admired companies. We have also expanded our scope of capabilities from global manufacturing to financial services and healthcare. Simple and yet very effective, this approach has stood the test of time and worked across borders for CGN’s clients, who are leaders in their industries.”
CGN recognizes that globalization has created significant shifts and new opportunities for their clients. “Globalization has created new value chains and new markets—and many challenges—but also opportunities. It has created an even broader and more complex market, where it is all the more important to understand the big picture and yet be able to implement locally. The basic ideas of eliminating waste, building competitive value chains and leveraging the triad of people, process and technology to achieve strategy has not changed. What has changed is that we now deliver our capabilities and services to our clients globally,” says Kris Arvind, director of CGN’s Asia Pacific operations.
CGN’s global team of 200 consultants across three continents represents its diversity and intellectual capital, seamlessly innovating and executing client initiatives at locations across the world. Each of them bring deep knowledge of their industries, but their real passion is to offer fresh perspectives that enhance customer outcomes. “Peoria is a microcosm of the global marketplace,” notes CGN CEO Seshadri Guha as he describes the city. “The people and its business community are very supportive of business ventures and dreams like ours. We will continue to build mutually rewarding relationships and be a significant partner in Peoria’s progress.” PP
