Fraudulent text messages are being sent to random cell phone users in the Central Illinois area. The text message states there was debit card fraud reported and the card was deactivated. The message says to call 253-243-2990 to reactivate the account.

  

Please DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER! This is a scam to obtain your personal and account information.

Central Illinois Bank will NEVER contact you in this manner or ask for such information over a recorded line.
