Since its 2015 inception, Sculpture Walk Peoria has brought color, life and artful energy to Peoria’s Warehouse District. Last year,SWP, an initiative of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois, partnered with 15 local restaurants to present “What Does Art Taste Like?”—a fun and tasty way to engage the community in experiencing sculpture, as well as the artistry of local chefs.

“It was fun to hear from these wonderful local chefs how much they enjoyed creating a dish inspired from the Sculpture Walk,” notes Jenn Gordon, ArtsPartners executive director. “And I really love highlighting that chefs are artists in their own right.”

This year, 16 restaurants are pairing food and drink with SWP’s 16 current slate of sculptures, on display through May 2018. Each establishment will offer its creation during normal business hours that week, and all funds stay with the establishment.
