As a Human Resources Representative III at Caterpillar Inc., Kathy Dolan assists in administering a wide range of human resource services and functions for Shared Services North America, supporting the Finance Services Division, Corporate Auditing and the Group CFO organizations. Acting as a liaison with regional and corporate human resources, she manages multiple strategic priorities while tracking current regulations and human resource management policies and laws.
Within her HR role, Dolan interacts with and counsels all levels of global employees on a wide range of personnel issues and questions, performance management, relocations, reporting requests and various other tasks. Earlier this year, she was selected as an external mentor for the Caterpillar HR College Mentor Program, which connects students interested in the HR field with mentors currently in HR roles. She is also a member of the Activities & Engagement Team within her HR Shared Services team, taking the lead in obtaining more than 200 letters for Greater Peoria Honor Flight, to be given to the veterans on their return flight from Washington, DC. She also led her team in a challenge to assist the Fill the Crib campaign for the crisis nursery at Crittenton Centers.
In addition, Dolan serves as a mentor for the American Corporate Partners Program for Veterans and holds PHR, HRCI and SHRM-CP certifications. She sits on EP!C’s Board of Directors, serving as treasurer, chair of the Finance Committee and member of the Development Committee. She is a Kentucky Derby Party fundraiser and committee member for the Central Illinois Alzheimer’s Association Chapter and a member of the Heart of Illinois United Way’s Power of the Purse Allocations Committee. A regular volunteer for Junior Achievement, she has taught the JA kindergarten program at Whittier Primary School for the last two years. She has also volunteered her time and treasure to Children’s Hospital of Illinois, The Center for Prevention of Abuse and The Salvation Army. iBi
