Drew Faries is Director of Management Consulting at RSM US LLP, a leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services, where his responsibilities include business development, project leadership, talent management, community engagement and client relationship management. He serves as both Central Illinois Consulting Leader and Great Lakes Public Sector Consulting Leader—high-profile roles that require steadfast leadership to meet growth targets and client quality commitments. He also serves as First Choice Advisor Coach, responsible for leading change management efforts at the firm.

One of 35 high-performing employees selected for the company’s Champions for Growth program, Faries won the 2015 RSM Future Firm Leaders Award, and he is a frequent speaker at international events and conferences on topics ranging from digital strategy to business transformation. Prior to joining RSM, he was pivotal in helping his previous firm build its Asia Pacific consulting business, among a lengthy list of other accomplishments.

Since returning to the Peoria area in 2014, Faries has become active in a number of local organizations. He serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Central Illinois, having previously been a classroom volunteer, as well as ArtsPartners of Central Illinois, where he helps to lead strategic planning and community engagement for a variety of initiatives, including Sculpture Walk Peoria and IGNITE Peoria. He is the founder and chair of the Heart of Illinois United Way’s Technology Committee, and has enjoyed volunteering for Children’s Home with his RSM colleagues.

Having lived and worked on three continents, Faries has exhibited leadership skills on a global scale and cultivated a variety of interests, from professional disc golfing to backpacking to playing in a band. His unique experiences, both personally and professionally, have helped him appreciate the value of diversity and the complexities of cross-cultural communications—and shaped him into the well-rounded leader he is today. iBi
