As associate director and career advisor for the College of Education and Health Sciences in the Smith Career Center at Bradley University, Molly M. Drenckpohl is responsible for advising students and alumni on career and job search strategies, coordinating employer development and career planning activities, and leading a team that organizes several job and internship fairs each year.

In this role, she works diligently to build relationships with prospective employers and develop off-campus work opportunities for students. She also instructs the University Experience Course, which helps new students adjust to university life, and has administered the America Reads Tutoring Program and coordinated the Outstanding Co-op/Intern of the Year Award.

In developing a plan to improve outreach to first-year students, Drenckpohl increased Career Center appointments by 68 percent in 2012-2013, while boosting overall freshman involvement by 43 percent. Her passion for placing students on the right path was reflected in a 98-percent career placement rate for her 2013-2014 baccalaureate graduates. She is often sought to lead search committees for Bradley’s Division of Student Affairs and has served on a range of other committees both on- and off-campus.

A member of the Heart of Illinois United Way Board of Directors since 2013, Drenckpohl chairs the organization’s Youth United initiative. She sits on the Development Committee for The Center for Prevention of Abuse and is a board member and past president of the Illinois Cooperative Education and Internship Association. In addition, she was co-organizer of Bradley’s tornado relief efforts in 2013, and has volunteered her time for the United Way Day of Caring, JDRF Breakfast Fundraiser, Jingle Bell Run, Crittenton Centers and Midwest Food Bank.

An active member and volunteer in the Lebanese community through St. Sharbel Church and the Itoo Society, Drenckpohl holds a Type 73 Counseling Certificate and is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. iBi
