As a copywriter for Simantel Group, Leslie Williams Seiler develops ideas and solutions for advertising, articles, news releases, slogans, training manuals and more, while taking responsibility for a wide range of agency events, research, interviews and multimedia presentations. She works out in front and behind the scenes to oversee creative projects making an impact in the Peoria-area community, including the recent Don’t Shoot Peoria and All America City campaigns. She also worked closely with the EM Properties team to plan the grand-opening event of the newly renovated Peoria Marriott Pere Marquette Hotel.

As a key member of Peoria’s All-America City Marketing Committee and producer of its All-America City video, Seiler was instrumental in the production’s success from beginning to end. She coordinated the participation of nearly 300 people across more than a dozen shoot locations, and worked tirelessly to promote the video through social media. Thanks in large part to her efforts, Peoria took home the top prize in the “All-America Stories” video contest, in addition to its recognition as a 2013 All-America City.

Seiler is an active board member and volunteer for Family House, currently serving as vice president and marketing chair. Also a board member of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois, she assisted in the development of its new strategic plan and helped its executive director draft an arts policy for the City of Peoria. A founding member of the Emerging Philanthropists in Central Illinois (EPIC) Fund, she sits on its Grants Committee. She is also a member of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Peoria Walk Committee, Young Professionals Organization of Greater Peoria and Creve Coeur Club, and regularly volunteers at the Midwest Food Bank.

The past public relations manager for the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and a former Journal Star reporter and editor, Seiler is a three-time Illinois Associated Press Award winner and a recipient of the James S. Copley Ring of Truth Award. She resides in Peoria with her husband, Kent. iBi
