Josh Swank is vice president of sales and marketing at Philippi-Hagenbuch Inc., a manufacturing firm specializing in off-highway truck equipment, where he leads the sales and marketing department to meet its monthly and quarterly sales goals, while evolving to grow the business on a global scale. He also serves as a mentor to many of his associates.

Swank is a true leader in his community, his industry and beyond. After three years as a member of the National Stone Sand and Gravel (NSSGA) Young Leaders Council, he was elected to the Steering Committee, and currently serves on the Membership Committee and Philanthropy Subcommittee. Through this involvement, he has participated in community service projects for a variety of causes, including Habit for Humanity and the Wounded Warrior Project. In 2006, he was nominated as the first chair of the Illinois Manufacturers Association Young Leaders Council, and earlier this year, he joined the National Mining Association Board of Governors.

An elder at United Presbyterian Church, Swank serves as chairperson for the UPC Discovery Pre-K School, having worked tirelessly to bring it to fruition for the 2011-2012 academic year. Now in its second year, the school has expanded to two classrooms, plus an early learning center for children three and under.

Swank is also a trustee for the Jaxson William Augustus Swank Foundation, founded after the tragic death of one of his brothers to provide educational assistance to children in disadvantaged families. He is a member of the Association of Iron and Steel Technologies Material Handling Committee, graduate of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School, and a past advisory board member of the Pediatric Resource Center.

An entrepreneur from an early age, Swank founded multiple small businesses in high school and college. Today, he still runs two businesses after hours — Squeaky Clean Laundry Co. and SqueakyDucks.com, a unique online business that touts itself as the provider of the largest selection of rubber ducks in the country. iBi
