Erin Margaret Scherbinske

Erin Margaret Scherbinske is a technical information supervisor at Caterpillar Inc., where she leads a team of 17 people who provide technical parts information to Caterpillar dealers and customers. She is responsible for all communication deliverables for the Earthmoving Division at a global level, developing communication strategies for the vice president and leadership team, and plays an integral role in developing business strategy for the division, in addition to mentoring other professionals within the company.

Since 2011, Scherbinske has been a board member of Caterpillar's Women's Initiative Network (WIN), providing insight on strategies to further leadership, career and work/life balance initiatives for women at the company. She has helped develop strategies to aid Caterpillar business units in their diversity and inclusion efforts, and as communication lead, she is responsible for communicating to WIN’s worldwide members through newsletters, emails and its website.

A member of the Junior League of Peoria since 2006, Scherbinske was recently elected the organization’s president. In this role, she is responsible for strategic direction, leading the group’s nearly 400 members and representing them at community events, membership conventions and more. She served on the Peoria Playhouse Children’s Museum Committee from 2007 to 2010, and was vice president of communications from 2010 to 2011. Among her honors, she won the Julep Gem award in 2007, and received the 2009 President's Volunteer Service Award from the Association of Junior Leagues International.

A graduate of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School, Scherbinske has risen as a leader in a number of other service groups. She served on the board of Court Appointed Special Advocates of Peoria County from 2007 to 2009, where she was public relations contact; volunteered for Easter Seals from 2006 to 2011, raising more than $90,000 over five years as a member of the fundraising team; and was team relations mentor for the FIRST Robotics team at Manual High School from 2006 to 2010. iBi
