As the principal attorney at McCall Law Offices, Christopher S. McCall handles a variety of civil disputes and specializes in divorce, criminal and worker’s compensation proceedings. An accomplished litigator and business owner, he has served as lead attorney in more than 300 trials. His results-oriented approach has allowed the firm he founded in 2005 to compete with other major law firms in the area.
McCall represents individuals, police officers and state troopers at the lower court level and in appellate court, and assists the local housing authority in prosecuting eviction claims. He assists with orders of protection and custody cases, helping to protect abused children and battered wives, and accepts federal defender cases throughout the Central District of Illinois.
In addition, McCall is a busy volunteer. He has been a trustee for the Greater Peoria Sanitary District, member of the Peoria GIS board, expulsion hearing officer for District 150 and board member of The Center for Prevention of Abuse. Among the organizations nearest to his heart are Central Illinois FRIENDS of People with AIDS, the Progressive Business Group and the Peoria County Bar Association.
The Progressive Business Group selected McCall to be secretary and chair of its Wine & Experience Auction. He was elected board chair of FRIENDS of People with AIDS and has provided the organization with pro bono legal services. A board member of the Peoria County Bar Association, McCall serves as vice chair over the Criminal Division of Courts & Procedures, and is a past member of its Continuing Legal Education Committee.
Among his most recent accomplishments, McCall was appointed a liquor commissioner for the City of Peoria, and earlier this year, he was recognized as a Super Lawyers’ Rising Star, an honor given to just 2.5 percent of Illinois lawyers.
