Brian F. Johnson is an attorney, vice president and shareholder at Johnson, Bunce & Noble, where he focuses on business and real estate representation and is responsible for the firm’s marketing and internet activities, developing and maintaining its websites, and producing its publications.
Described as a man of strong convictions and tireless work habits, Johnson has transformed the firm through his innovative web designs and the development of brochures, quarterly newsletters and other regular updates, providing clients and the general public additional access to topic-specific legal information. A strong entrepreneurial spirit led to his formation of the private equity and venture capital firm, B.F. Johnson Investments LLC, which holds interests in Midwestern Securities Trading Company and the Read Group Inc.
As someone who enjoys giving back to his community, Johnson supports many local organizations and often finds a way to use his law license as a leadership tool. In addition to volunteering for Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois and serving on its board of directors, he is an active member of the Itoo Society, serving as the organization’s Men’s Club president at a very young age.
Johnson commits a great deal of time to the Peoria County Bar Association and has helped many groups and individuals as a board member. He frequently serves as a continuing legal education (CLE) lecturer, speaking on the topics of real estate, military estate planning, website marketing and creditors’ rights. He chairs the association’s Real Property Committee and Real Estate and Business Litigation CLE Committee, and co-authored the ICLE Handbook on Illinois sanitary districts. He has served as co-president of the Sixty-Plus Elder Law Clinic and has delivered presentations geared toward seniors at the People’s Law School, Alzheimer’s Association and elsewhere.
A member of Business Networking International and cofounder of Impact Peoria, Johnson has also been an instructor of business law and estate planning at Bradley University and Illinois Central College. iBi
