Brett Ellis is a territory manager at Walz Label & Mailing Systems, where he sells and services mailing and document-handling equipment and software, and is responsible for business development in the firm’s East Territory. An extraordinary collaborator and communicator, he has exceeded sales goals each quarter for the last three years.
Ellis has completed national product certification through the U.S. Postal Service and is certified as an addressing specialist and enhancement mailing value expert. He serves on the Peoria Postal Customer Council and makes presentations at numerous trade and industry shows throughout the country.
Among his many volunteer commitments, Ellis has been active with the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce, Peoria Area Community Events and Young Professionals Organization of Greater Peoria. Currently, he devotes much of his time to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois M.O.S.A.I.C. advocacy group, Peoria Jaycees and the Bradley University Alumni Association.
A M.O.S.A.I.C. board member since 2007 and the group’s current co-chair, Ellis is passionate about raising awareness for Children’s Hospital, helping to coordinate four annual events. He does the same for the Peoria Jaycees, having chaired or co-chaired its annual Easter Egg Hunt, Super Fest, Senior Citizens’ Prom and Distinguished Service Award Banquet. As a member of Bradley University’s Central Illinois Alumni Board of Directors and an alumni representative for the Smith Career Center, he serves as a career mentor to students, helps plan alumni events, and volunteers at internship and co-op workshops.
Ellis was the 2008-2009 Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year and has received numerous awards of recognition from the U.S. Postal Service. He has been the Peoria chapter president of the Lincolnland I-Club since 2007, coordinating events for University of Iowa alumni and fans in the Peoria area.
Ellis has an innate ability to foster enthusiasm and excitement in those he encounters. Maintaining an ideal work-life balance, he is able to successfully juggle his responsibilities at his job, his life as a husband and father, and his work as a dedicated volunteer and community advocate. iBi
