Abby Clark is an attorney with Davis & Campbell, representing businesses, owners and management in labor and employment matters and various commercial litigation disputes. She practices in the Illinois state and U.S. federal court systems, and has been admitted to practice in several district and appellate courts across the country, and in the U.S. Supreme Court.

Clark has demonstrated leadership representing her clients at all levels of court and agency proceedings, including matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Illinois Department of Human Rights, Illinois Department of Employment Security, Illinois Department of Labor, and Illinois Department of Public Health. She recently had the rare opportunity to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court as part of an appellate defense team.

Through her membership with the Peoria County Bar Association, Clark has taken on additional leadership functions, serving on the Pro Bono, Young Lawyers and Federal Courts & Procedures committees. She was a local representative for the American Bar Association’s Host Committee during its recent annual litigation meeting in Chicago and is a contributing author to its annual report on the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Clark is also a leader in the community. A member of the Young Professionals Organization of Greater Peoria, she has served on its board of directors since 2009 and currently co-chairs the Community Connection Subcommittee. She was also recognized as a community leader by the organization’s LEAP leadership academy.

Active in the Junior League of Peoria, Clark currently chairs the Kids in the Kitchen Committee and has promoted literacy in local schools by serving on its “I Like Me” Committee. In addition, she frequently gives presentations at the request of community organizations and industry associations.

Clark has been a member of the South Side Office of Concern’s Board of Trustees since 2008, and previously led the board as president. She continues her leadership today as a member of its executive and finance committees, working to expand programming that provides mental health services and unemployment assistance, and helps to alleviate homelessness in the community.
