As part owner and vice president of Menold Construction and Restoration, Steve Driscoll oversees all sales functions within the company, managing five salespeople, conducting training and performing interviews for potential remodeling projects.
The first in his family to graduate from college, Driscoll worked his way through Illinois State University to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in construction management. Not long after he started with Menold, he developed a new division of the company focused on reconstructing damaged property, which led to the creation of Menold Restoration.

He also achieved the designation of Certified Restorer, a designation held by only 500 people in the world.

A graduate of De La Salle Institute on the south side of Chicago, Driscoll and his wife, Gina, set up a scholarship program to provide students who could not otherwise afford to attend the private school the opportunity to do so. Deeply committed to Springfield-based Team Mack Racing, Inc., Driscoll noted the high expense of the sport he loved so much. Wanting to share it with the less fortunate, he and his wife became sponsors of the racing team seven years ago, funneling sponsorship funds to those who could least afford it.

An avid and competitive cyclist, Driscoll won a race in Chicago in 2004. The next day, while riding, he was struck by a car and badly injured. There was concern that he would never walk again—let alone ride a bike—but Driscoll was determined, not only to walk again, but to compete in the same race the following year.

Driscoll has served as treasurer, vice president and president of the Greater Peoria Claims Association, which promotes education for insurance claim professionals and their affiliates. A strong supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Illinois, Driscoll was matched with a boy from East Peoria with whom he spends time every week. They have developed a close friendship and are a model of the mentor/mentee relationship the organization strives to create. He also volunteers as a VIP for Easter Seals.

Steve Driscoll has the heart, determination, drive and intuition that set him apart from others. He sets goals and not only achieves them—he exceeds them. iBi
