Lights Out at Robertson Fieldhouse

A special event marking the "Last Basket" at Robertson Memorial Field House was held on March 27th. Bradley President Joanne Glasser recognized the descendents of A.J. Robertson, for whom the building was named. Robertson's son, William C. "Corky" Robertson, made remarks and great-grandson, James, took the ceremonial last shot in the structure, which is set for demolition starting in April. A new athletic performance center is expected to be completed in the spring of 2010. It will include a 4200-seat arena, offices for Department of Athletics staff, locker rooms and a Hall of Fame. It will be adjoined by a new men's basketball practice facility.
