Bradley Demolition

June 7, 2007

Bradley razed the old Sigma Chi fraternity house June 7 to make room for the new Markin Family Student Recreational Center. Local photographer Bob Hunt was on-hand to witness the demolition.

The new rec center broke ground in April 2007 and will replace Haussler Hall with four basketball courts for intramural and recreational games, a championship basketball court, a 1/8-mile running/walking track, climbing wall, juice bar, indoor pool, weight room, exercise rooms, and other amenities. The Wellness Program and Counseling will be located in the lower level, as will the University's Health Center.
