As Assistant Vice President of Risk Services at RLI Corp., Eric D. White leads a team of product managers, directors and actuaries in providing underwriting and actuarial support for more than 40 of the company’s insurance products, including E&S Commercial Property, Assumed Reinsurance, Marine, General Liability, Commercial/Excess Liability, Personal Lines, Specialty Commercial and Transportation. He also manages communication and common underwriting activities across all company products.

Since joining RLI in 2007, White has been promoted three times and shown a deep passion for training and engaging other leaders within the organization, above and beyond the scope of his core responsibilities. He played a critical role in reformulating the firm’s Underwriting Development Program and Experienced Underwriter Development Program, working closely with the human resources team to develop a meaningful curriculum that ensures broad experiences for participants to gain more exposure to the business, each other and the company’s product lines.

Giving back to his community, White has donated a significant amount of his time and talent to support philanthropic, youth and professional organizations, assuming leadership positions in nearly all of them. He currently serves on the OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois Parent Advisory Board and the NCA Graduate Programs Committee for the Foster College of Business Administration at Bradley University. He previously served on the Children’s Hospital of Illinois NICU Advisory Board, the Pekin Marigold Festival Executive Committee and the NICU Small Wonders Walk Committee. He has been an adjunct professor of risk management at Bradley University and coaches Morton youth baseball, softball and basketball in his spare time.

White holds a degree in microbiology from the University of Illinois-Champaign and an MBA from Bradley University. He has earned seven insurance industry certifications through the course of his career at RLI, including the intensive Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation. iBi
