Best Buddies Illinois has opened up nominations for its 2016 Champion of the Year fundraising event. Individuals passionate about philanthropy and the Best Buddies mission—creating opportunities for friendship, employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities—are encouraged to seek nominations from friends and family.
Accepted nominees will launch an eight-week campaign to raise money for Best Buddies Illinois. In addition, participants can design their own creative campaigns, expanding their professional networks through their efforts. The highest earning participant will be named Best Buddies Illinois Champion of the Year at the Champion of the Year Gala on November 19, 2016 at the Waterhouse in Peoria.
