A mortgage originator at Busey Bank, Stacy Borho is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of mortgage loans. She works closely with each of her customers to help them choose the options best suited for their particular needs and goals.

Borho has become one of the top mortgage loan originators within Busey Bank. In the first half of 2010, she ranked No. 8 out of 34 loan originators in the area of purchase-money mortgage loans.

A caring individual with a strong desire to give back to her community, Borho spends countless hours volunteering her time through several organizations. She serves on the board of Impact Peoria, an organization dedicated to being an active and positive influence for change in central Illinois. Through this group, Borho has rung bells for the Salvation Army, assembled packets for Junior Achievement, built ramps at Camp Big Sky, helped with Larry’s Casting Kids, wrapped gifts at the Children’s Home and more. In the first year of its existence, she won the Service Member of the Year Award for logging the most community service hours.

Through her participation in the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School, Borho became involved with Heart of Illinois Harvest, as her group conducted an awareness campaign and helped identify new donors for the organization. Borho personally started a food drive at her banking center, which she has continued for the past three years. She also serves as a volunteer driver for the organization, delivering food to shelters, churches and other nonprofit groups in the area.

Borho has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children since 2007, responsible for representing vulnerable children in the court system. She is involved with the Greater Peoria Area Coffee Club and is an active member of Rotary North, having worked on numerous projects with the organization, including the reading program at Hines School. She continues to visit the school’s second graders three times a month to listen to them read.

Borho was awarded the Community Leader Award in 2010 by Women in Leadership, and currently serves as board secretary for the organization. A leader both at work and in the community, Borho enjoys serving others and strives to make Peoria a better place in which to live. iBi
