Youth Music Illinois is proud to present a Bass Master Class led by Brandon Mooberry on Sunday, February 25 beginning at 6:00 pm at the Life Together Center, 3625 North Sheridan Road in Peoria.

The Bass Master Class is led by Brandon Mooberry who will work with Bertram Goodman, a member of the Youth Symphony and Senior at Peoria High School, enhancing his skills in front of an audience. Students who play the bass and viola will benefit from this presentation.

The master class is offered by the Central Illinois Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, for the student they are sponsoring in Concert Orchestra. The Links is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. The membership consists of nearly 14,000 professional women of color in 283 chapters located throughout North America. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry. Brandon Mooberry is a bassist, pianist, composer, producer, and private educator from the Central Illinois area. He has played upright and electric bass for national Broadway tour dates with Wicked, Spamalot, Mary Poppins, White Christmas, and Billy Elliot. Brandon has also shared the stage with Victor Wooten, Bootsy Collins, Regi Wooten, Felix Pastorius, David ‘Fathead’ Newman (Ray Charles Band), David Hoffman (Ray Charles Band), Eric Krasno and many others. Brandon is also a dedicated private music educator focused on playing live. He also has several credits to film and commercial compositions.

The Bass Master Class is free of charge. The public is encouraged to attend.
