Gala Event to Feature NY Times Bestselling Author
Kimberla Lawson Roby
Kimberla Lawson Roby, author of 25 books and a frequent member of the NY Times and USA Today Bestseller lists, is the headliner for the third annual Read to the Rhythm Gala at Peoria Public Library Lincoln Branch to be held on Friday, June 23 from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.
Ms. Roby’s latest book, Sin of a Woman, will be released in June and copies will be available for sale and signing, along with copies of some of her other books. Her books have sold more than 2.8 million copies and she has been featured in the news across the country.
The event, which supports The Friends of Peoria Public Library, will feature music by Change Up, food stations by Tongue & Cheek Catering and a Silent Auction. Dress is semi-formal. Tickets are $25 and are available at Lincoln Branch or by calling (309) 497-2600.
