Striders Run Peoria

The running community in Peoria is rather remarkable. Over the last three decades, the sport has advanced significantly through the efforts of the Illinois Valley Striders, an organization committed to enhancing both the running environment in the region and the community as a whole.
I "Heart" Peoria
After a bout of unseasonably cool and rainy weather, I was thankful for blue skies and looking for fun things to do outside.
From the beginning of time, humans have responded to the pull of the sea. It has helped to satisfy our yearning to explore and travel, and the desire to trade for exotic goods from distant shores. Today, sailing remains a prime form of adventure and relaxation.
With summer upon us, it is prime time for entertaining outdoors with family and friends. So put down the Wii and try your hand at some of these classic lawn games!
The works of William Shakespeare were meant to be performed, an experience that the Illinois Shakespeare Festival hopes you take advantage of this summer as they present three plays at Ewing Manor in Bloomington.

The Peoria area is home to the fourth-oldest company in the nation and boasts a long, storied history of community theater.
