Best of Peoria

The 13-mile Rock Island Greenway is the backbone of Peoria’s recreational trail system—connecting to the State of Illinois’ Rock Island Trail to the north and the River Trail of Illinois to the southeast for a total distance of 46 miles. Once an abandoned railroad line, the corridor now hosts bicyclists, walkers, runners and urban adventurers—bringing a wealth of recreational opportunities to the heart of the city.
