Best of Peoria

Born and raised in Peoria, Ray LaHood never forgot where he came from—whether serving the 18th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives (1995-2009) or the entire nation as U.S. Secretary of Transportation (2009-2013). LaHood’s common-sense, bipartisan leadership was recognized again in 2016 when Peoria’s airport named its new international terminal in his honor.
